Tour Dates and Full Programme Announced
A magical new story for Ashdown Forest awaits…
We’re thrilled to announce full programme details and tour dates for The Big One Hundred, a brand-new adventure celebrating the centenary of Winnie-The-Pooh and Ashdown Forest, the real-life inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood.
Created by Trigger and commissioned by Ashdown Forest and Wealden District Council, this is your invitation to step into a family-friendly world of performances, workshops and outdoor adventures. Across the programme, you’ll be invited to take part, explore, and uncover the secrets of Ashdown’s remarkable wildlife — collecting Explorer Badges along the way and earning your place as an official Ashdown Explorer.
We begin the journey on 18–19 July in Ashdown Forest, where audiences can immerse themselves in nature on a special Explorer Day. Expect hands-on nature-based workshops, creative activities, and interactive encounters with a giant puppet creature inspired by endangered species found in the Forest.
Our curious creature will then set off beyond the Forest, bringing a little Ashdown magic to communities across Wealden. Look out for appearances at:
Hailsham Town Centre — 26 July
Sheffield Park and Garden — 1 August
Weald on the Field, Uckfield — 8 August
Herstmonceux Castle — 22–23 August
Each stop will feature Explorer Days and special sightings, transforming towns, gardens and historic sites into moments of discovery and wonder.
Tickets for the opening weekend at Ashdown Forest go on general release at 10am on 26 May
Wealden residents will receive priority booking from 10am on 18 May, ahead of general release.
